In this comedy, everyone will find their own. It is no coincidence that the subtitle of the play is Whatever You Want! It was staged in Ostrava under the direction of Vojtěch Štěpánek, whose production of The Taming of the Shrew, you could see in previous years.
Shakespeare probably wrote the play in 1601, i.e. around the time he was Hamlet and was at the peak of his creative powers.
In Twelfth Night, everything is and is not, Viola is and is not Cesario. Cesario is and is not Sebastian. Love is and is not love. Every love in this play is an illusion and a mirage. Get to know the fates of two lost twins who unexpectedly meet in Illyria. Follow their adventures as love, laughter, and confusion intertwine in one of Shakespeare's most beautiful comedies of love.
